MasterMind Begins Phase III of ODOT Centerline Inventory

MasterMind Systems, Inc. has begun Phase III of the Centerline No Passing Zone Inventory for the Ohio Department of Transportation. Phase III covers 3,813 miles of all two lane highways in Districts 3, 7, 8, and 12. This is the final phase of the 7 year project. The project was projected for completion in 2008 but we anticipate completion in 2007 - one year ahead of schedule. No passing zone studies should be performed about every 8 years to ensure that all markings are correct.

MasterMind Systems, Inc. has officially released PaintMaster version 6. PaintMaster is part of Traffic Safety Suite 6, a group of software modules for handling your traffic safety items. PaintMaster handles the inventory of ALL your pavement markings from edgeline to stop bars. Several agencies have been beta testing PaintMaster for the past several months to ensure all functionality is working properly.

Jamar Releases New DMI Models

Jamar Technologies has released the latest verstion of its popular Distance Measuring Instruments. The new RAC Plus 1 and RAC Plus 2 are direct replacements for the RAC-100 and RAC-200. New features include 2 display windows for separately showing measured distance and vehicle speed - all within a slimmer case. Jamar offers the only DMI with a 5 year warranty.

MasterMind Selected for Ohio DOT No Passing Zone Study

MasterMind Systems, Inc. has been selected by the Ohio Department of Transportation to perform a 'Centerline Pavement Marking Inventory' for 4 districts in Ohio. This study will be performed on all 2 lane state and US routes within ODOT's jurisdiction and will cover 4,573 miles of road. The study was initially performed by MasterMind in the late 1980's. No passing zone studies should be performed about every 8 years to ensure that all markings are correct. Changes to road layout can make some markings incorrect so this traffic safety study should be performed periodically.
